The North Central Region
 

Throughout the area are Indian pueblos, homes to famous artisans whose works grace many a gallery throughout the area.

To the north lies Taos which, like Santa Fe, is a cultural haven, yet a more laid-back lifestyle. Other areas from Taos include Angle Fire, Red River and Eagle Nest. This heavily forested area offers skiing, snow mobiling, hiking, cycling, fishing and even panning for gold. White water rafting is another sport available in late spring and often throughout the summer.
